Values
Marseni® is a Canadian vertical farm which relies on geoponics growing solution to achieve intensive indoor cultivation cycles. Our production is focused on premium quality leafy greens and herbs which grow in a controlled environment, pesticide and chemical-free.
The name Marseni® is a unique acronym derived from the first names of the founder, Marc Brisson, and his sons, Sébastien and Nicolas. Coming from several generations of farmers, the family business whishes to pursue the development of new markets and promote new sustainable agricultiral technologies while providing quality products for the people.
After two years of intensive R&D, Marseni®is launching it’s commercialisation phase with a fleet of 52 geoponic drums, which can actually produce up to 18,5 tons of basil annually. Marseni® is currently working to quintuple its production capacity during the next expansion phase, which will allow to diversify its production furthermore. The packaged products have a long shelf life and are guaranteed to be of the highest standards, fungicides and pesticides-free.
The end-game is to grow the brand notoriety across Canada, to be recognized for quality products, as well as using an innovative yet environmentally friendly production process and our core family values.
MARC BRISSON
Founder, CEO
Marc was raised on a 450-acre farm in Ontario, where he gained early hands-on experience with livestock and crop production until the farm was downsized in 1985.
Following a successful career in the construction industry, he returned to his roots by repurchasing the family land, driven by a clear vision: to develop a technologically advanced farm offering sustainable solutions to local agriculture.
To realize this ambition, Marc invested in cutting-edge geoponic growing systems, allowing him full control over his crops. He now employs this method to cultivate premium herbs and leafy greens year-round, unaffected by weather conditions, consistently delivering top-quality produce to his customers. He also plays a key role in the farm’s innovation, contributing to the development of critical infrastructure such as the packaging line and production systems.
MAXIME GAGNIER
Chief Agronomy Officer
Maxime Gagnier represents the fifth generation of farmers cultivating his family’s land. From an early age, he demonstrated a deep-seated passion for both flora and fauna. He pursued his academic formation at Université Laval in Quebec, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in agronomy with a specialization in plant science.
Maxime seized the opportunity to serve as the Production Director at Ferme Marseni, a role that allowed him to apply his academic expertise in a practical and innovative setting.
As the very first employee of the farm, he played a foundational role in shaping its early development. He was responsible for implementing the initial testing phases, which determinated optimal growing conditions and nutritional supplements for the crops. He subsequently contributed to the launch of the farm’s production phase, overseeing 52 units of the growing system.
Maxime’s unwavering dedication and enthusiasm are evident in the meticulous care he devotes to cultivating produce of exceptional quality, demonstrating not only technical proficiency, but also a profound commitment to agricultural excellence.
CEDRYK BEAUDET-HIRSHBECK
Chief Operating Officer
Passionate about agriculture and innovation, Cedryk serves as Director of Operations at Ferme Marseni, where he oversees all aspects of production, equipment maintenance, and daily team management.
With extensive experience in team leadership and supervision across both industrial and agricultural settings, Cedryk has distinguished himself through his rigor, organizational skills, and hands-on leadership. He brings a strong foundation in management and production, reinforced by practical, on-the-ground expertise.
Since joining Marseni, he has leveraged his analytical mindset to enhance processes, optimize workforce efficiency, and ensure that every task contributes to delivering a high-quality product in a safe and healthy environment. He firmly believes that the success of modern farming relies on the synergy between technology, dedicated teams, and respect for living systems.
A native of the region, Cedryk has always been drawn to agriculture and manual work. For him, contributing to the year-round production of fresh, locally grown products is more than a career—it is a mission he embraces with pride.
MIKELA CUROTTE
Account Executive
Driven by her charisma and natural ability to connect, Mickela is a Sales Representative at Marseni Farm, where she introduces customers to the farm’s products and shares their unique value.
Her diverse background, including plumbing, animal-assisted therapy, reception, and a year-long mission focused on evangelization through travel, has shaped her open-mindedness, curiosity, and strong communication skills.
What motivates her most is seeing people’s reactions when they discover the products and sharing the joy of offering something local, fresh, and high-quality. Her interpersonal strengths, perseverance, and love of learning help her build trust and contribute to the company’s growth.
Outside of work, Mickela recharges through travel, road trips, hiking, music, the arts, and journaling. Each new experience is a chance to learn and grow, both professionally and personally.
